Fed up with singer Scot Bluechevy’s onstage antics, Country Redford drummer weighs in on the band’s future.

“I mean it’s really hard to tell,” replies CR drummer, Tommy Gunn, when asked what happens when his singer forgets lyrics, rearranges verses and forgets to come in when he’s supposed to during a song.

“My initial thought is ‘here we go again.’ I usually start the process by looking to my left to Sonic.” Subsonic, the other half of the rhythm duo, often adjusts and realigns the musical kinks.

“But with those reflective aviators and now that wireless, lately he’s been too busy rumblin’ cabs to catch eye contact.” Next, Gunn looks to his right to guitar player Extra Chrispy.

“E.C. can always get the band back on course but when I looked to him the last two
shows, he’s been adjusting his pedals and dialing in his in-ears. I was thinkin’ now is not the time Chrisp.”

The last hope was in the hands of the other guitar player Slim. “Slim’s no help. He told me when this happens, his secret is to hit a chord and back his volume down out of the mix. Can you believe that? I mean he’s jumping ship when we’re taking on water.” This really leaves CR in a precarious situation. “Where do we go from here? Are we going to do the chorus again, the bridge, let it fall apart…?”

Local Willoughby resident became one of Country Redford’s newest fans when he mistakenly walked in to a venue the band was playing. “My homie Facetimed me to get up to the club. I wasn’t paying attention and got mixed up in the crowd and ended up in the middle of this….” When asked about the band, the man responded, “They aight.”

“I finally had enough!” exclaimed singer Scot Bluechevy of the band Country Redford. “We’ve had a rough start in 2019 and I guess I finally snapped.” Guitar player Extra Chrispy said of the incident, “My bladder finally had enough!” The bar owner did not press charges.

Bass player, Subsonic, of local country band Country Redford saved the song, and possibly the show, last Saturday night by helping guitarist, Extra Chrispy, through the bridge of a song. “I could tell by the look in his  eyes coming out of that 2nd chorus that he [Extra Crispy] knew something was wrong,” said Subsonic. “With all the bogeys in these songs, I never leave my stringman.”
